The lovely pattern featured on these sushi sets is inspired by practices in traditional Japanese Zen gardening. In a Zen garden, sand is generally placed where water would flow and artfully raked to emulate its patterns. Like the rings raked into the sand, these dishes mimic the pattern of rippling on the surface of still water. Crafted in Japan, where ceramic artistry has been practiced for centuries and the skill has been passed through generations, these dishes are well made, fine quality ceramic. Each chopstick set is made from real wood. The two sets arrive prepackaged in a black gift box, making them exceptionally easy to give as a housewarming or hostess gift. Dishes are microwave and dishwasher safe, hand wash chopsticks and dry immediately after cleaning.
