Our artisan woodworker in the U.S. combines it with a platform base sourced from vintage reclaimed Douglas fir, pairing clean-lined contemporary design with the sculpted lotus flower symbolizing rebirth. The result: a bed where fantasies of exotic faraway lands share a pillow with a reinvigorating night’s sleep. Headboard also sold separately.

Note: Headboard doe not attach to the platform. Due to the height and weight of the headboard it must be attached to the wall (hardware not included as wall material will vary, but we recommend French cleats). We are sorry, but our White Glove service does not include attachment to the wall. Headboard is made from recycled teak planks, as such the color may vary from that shown here and each panel will not be perfectly smooth.

I purchased this bed for a client who is thrilled with this bed. When I went to see it assembled at her house, I was startled by how inconsistent the finish is, in some places the bare wood showing through. I expected much higher quality for the price of this bed, especially given that the shipping was around $500. Viva Terra also neglected to mention that the bed ships in four weeks, not one week as stated in the email confirmation.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with your purchase. Each teak lotus panel is hand carved in Thailand and assembled by our furniture maker here in California so some variations in the finish can occur. I will certainly pass your feedback on to the appropriate teams.
