This lovely fragrant, fruit bearing lemon tree is very healthy but requires a bit of care. It does need to be transplanted once it starts growing, and I suggest using a quality organic soil without all the chemicals, as this does not work for such plants. Also, if eating the fruit, as we do, one does not want chemically treated soil. I add healthy tree supplements to soil from time to time. During the summer months, our tree is placed in full sun and it seems to love it. One needs to remember to water it regularly but not too much. Remember to prune the rogue branches to keep the tree shaped nicely. The instructions are good. Our tree grows several meyers lemons a year, and they are fabulous! I do not feel that it takes too much care to keep healthy, and we have had ours for two years now. Price is a bit steep, but we plan to purchase another as a gift since we have had such good luck with this.

The topiary I received had only about a dozen leaves on it. I called with concern and was informed that the trees are not expected to bear fruit for 2 to 3 years.
