Two compatible yet distinctly different looks emerge from this reversible quilt and sham set. On one side, the flower pattern extends to the banded edge; on the reverse, the borders are paisley. Using hand-carved wood blocks, women in an artisan cooperative in northwest India print these paisley patterns on the fabric by repeatedly dipping the blocks in vegetable dyes. Their textile craftwork furnishes critical income in an area long plagued by drought and acute poverty. Both quilt exterior and soft, plush batting are made from 100% pesticide-free, locally grown cotton.
The organic cotton curtain picks up the quilt's flower pattern. We've designed the curtain to hang from a poster bed's dowels or to use as a window panel. Fair Trade Certified.
