A gorgeous and sustainable addition to your home or dining area, our Reclaimed Teak Boatwood Chair is crafted by Indonesia artisans of teak that was recycled from abandoned fishing boats. Each piece of wood is streaked with distressed coloring that varies on each design. You'll know that your sustainably harvested Teak Chair is absolutely one-of-a-kind.
The sturdy metal frame is made through traditional Indonesia practices, while the unique wood slats have a full history all their own. And while you’re adding a lovely seating addition to your home, you’ll also be supporting sustainable production; our chair is made of a metal frame and recycled teakwood harvested from local fishing boats. To clean: wipe down with a damp cloth. Made in Indonesia.

|Eco Info||Handcrafted in Indonesia and made from reclaimed & recycled teak, this furniture collection offers the ultimate in sustainability and responsible stewardship of both the environment and of local artisans.
According to an EPA annual report released in 2012, wood accounted for 8% of our landfill content even after recyclable woods had been recovered from the fills. This waste is among some of the most preventable if initiative is taken to dispose of wood properly and efforts are made to salvage it. Salvaged or reclaimed wood protects our environment, because when it is recovered from its original use and repurposed it not only saves trees, but also uses only a fraction of the energy and natural resources during production as its first growth counterpart.
|Please Note||Distressed color streak patterns will vary depending on the fishing boat wood harvested for your specific chair.
As our reclaimed wood products are in their second lives, you can expect to see blemishes, holes or other scars in the wood. But every scar has a story, and we believe these imperfections give reclaimed lumber its rich character and singular beauty.
|Product Care||Because our wood pieces are finished with natural products, color variations may occur. Additionally, a naturally finished wood will age differently than treated lumber. Due to dryness, small cracks and other imperfections can occur. To care for wood and maintain its natural luster, it’s recommended you treat with mineral oil or apply a natural wax, such as bees wax polish or carnauba wax.|
