Hand-assembled into five groups of green-gray, burgundy and silver succulents, the design of this living wreath features each plant's distinctive textures, leaf patterns, and colors. As eco-friendly as it is enchanting, the succulents include water-saving crassia, lichen and other unique yet compatible varieties that thrive with minimal watering every three to eight weeks.
Succulents do not require a great deal of care, but please keep the following in mind when caring for your succulents. Succulents prefer bright light, but cannot tolerate intense direct sunlight. Succulents that are under too much light intensity will have a bleached appearance and succulents without enough light will become elongated and appear to "reach for sunlight." Over-watering succulents can cause the plants to die. To water your succulents, use a spray bottle to avoid over-watering.
Light: It is best to keep out of direct sunlight for one week after arrival. Succulents prefer some protection from midday sun if kept outside. A south facing window is ideal if kept indoors. Water: Soak plants once every 3 to 10 weeks depending on plant needs. Water is needed when the planter feels lightweight, or the leaves have puckered. Do not mist spray plants as this practice encourages shallow roots and weak plants. Deep soaking and allowing soil to dry out completely between watering works best. Fertilizing: Little fertilizer is needed. In the spring and summer a feeding of liquid fertilizer (15-30-15) can be added to the soaking water. Pruning: Succulents grow slowly, to maintain shape, pinch or prune back. Cuttings can be planted into a pot once callused.
