Most orders ship within 48 hours and usually arrive in 5-7 business days. Some items ship directly from the artisan and may take longer. Shipping is based on the merchandise total before any promotional discounts. Shipping is charged separately for each address. Some products, due to size and weight, need additional oversized shipping charges added to the regular delivery rate. This oversized shipping charge amount will be added to the regular shipping charge. Please see product page for more details—all shipping charges are listed there.
Shipping outside of the continental US? An additional charge of $15.95 per address will be added to the total when shipping to AK, HI, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Express Delivery is not available outside of the continental US.

This service applies to all orders of in-stock merchandise under 20 lbs. for delivery in the contiguous U.S. Call 1-800-247-6799 for rates on expedited orders over 20 lbs. Items that ship directly from the artisan take longer and may only ship on specific business days (Mon-Fri) each week. These exceptions will be noted on the product's page.
Shipping charges are per address. Express shipping is not available for oversized items, or to P.O. boxes. Express shipping is not available to AK, HI, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.
Some items have shipping surcharges due to their size—these additional charges will be noted on the product page. Also, some items cannot be shipped via Express delivery or to AK, HI, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands and this is also noted on the product page. MOTOR FREIGHT DELIVERY
Motor Freight Delivery Service (Motor Freight Guidelines) is a "tailgate" service that provides delivery to the back of the vehicle at the end of your driveway, the customer must remove the merchandise from the truck and into the residence.
Carriers will contact you to schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Standard motor freight delivery provides only curbside delivery. It may be helpful to have assistance available on the arranged date of delivery. Additional delivery charges may be incurred if you request the driver's assistance.
WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY
White Glove Delivery Service (White Glove Guidelines) is a premium service that includes delivery to the interior of your home, or to your porch, deck or patio. The merchandise will be unboxed, and all packing materials will be removed for disposal.
Many of our furniture items include FREE White Glove Delivery. Please refer to product information online or in the catalog to determine these items that qualify for free white glove delivery.
There are select items can be upgraded to 'White Glove' delivery (in the continental U.S. only) for an additional fee of $125 per item.
'White Glove' service includes our standard delivery service level, includes transport up one flight of stairs to the room you specify, plus product assembly and package removal. Typical shipping lead times are listed on the product page but delivery to remote, rural locations can take up to 10 weeks. Furniture cannot be shipped via express delivery and most furniture cannot be shipped outside of the continental U.S. Additionally, we are unable to deliver to locations requiring boat or ferry shipment.
When our 'White Glove' delivery takes place the carrier requires that you be present to inspect and accept your merchandise. The carrier will also require that you confirm acceptance of the delivery by signing the delivery document presented by the carrier. We ask that you detail any damage to the item in question on the delivery paperwork you sign. If possible, we also recommended that you take photos of the damage. Please reach out to our customer service department so we're able to address the reported damage, and research the best solutions.
DAMAGED OR REFUSED DELIVERIES
If your merchandise appears to be damaged or defective, you may also reject the delivery by refusing to sign your name on the delivery document.
If damage or a defect is detected during or after delivery, or if you have refused the delivery, please contact us within 48 hours for assistance.
If your merchandise was refused due to damage or defect, we will issue a refund or a replacement as soon as the merchandise is received in our warehouse.
Merchandise which is refused for any reason, other than damage or defect, or if the merchandise is undeliverable due to narrow entryways, other delivery obstructions, you will be refunded for the price of the merchandise only, and the cost of the return shipping will be deducted from the refund due, unless VivaTerra is deemed to be responsible for an error.
Please contact us directly at 800-247-6799 if your merchandise needs to be returned via freight and we will make arrangements with our freight company.
Made-to-order (custom) merchandise MAY NOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED unless the merchandise is received damaged or defective or unless VivaTerra is deemed to be responsible for an error. For all other merchandise, only outbound standard shipping and handling fees are waived on exchange orders, though additional shipping and handling fees may apply.
Additional fees may apply for a reroute, or for the re-scheduling of a delivery or pick-up, unless VivaTerra is deemed responsible for an error. Restocking fees may apply for some items.
LIVE PLANT SHIPPING
Due to perishability plants cannot be shipped outside of the continental U.S. Shipping restrictions will be noted on the product page.
SHIPPING TO ALASKA, HAWAII OR US TERRITORIES
Orders shipping to AK, HI, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have a $15.95 surcharge added to cover additional costs. Express shipping is not available to AK, HI, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes in AK, HI, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.
SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE US OR TO APO/FPO ADDRESSES
At present VivaTerra does not ship to addresses outside of the U.S. and its territories (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam). We also do not ship to APO/FPO addresses.
For customers outside of the US who'd like to order VivaTerra products, we suggest finding a shipping company within the US that can facilitate sending VivaTerra orders overseas. Recently, we were alerted to the existence of companies like MyUS.com that allow non-US individuals to set-up a US-based address, specifically for shopping US stores and having those purchases shipped out of country. VivaTerra does not endorse or partner with these services, but we encourage international customers to consider researching a shipping option like this.
State and local sales tax is collected on all orders shipped to Virginia and South Dakota.
Important Tax Information Regarding Kentucky, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Other States: VivaTerra is not required to and does not collect sales or use tax in all states. However, although this purchase is made over the Internet or by other remote means, it is not exempt from sales or use tax in the state in which you reside. States (except Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon) require residents to pay a sales/use tax to the state tax authorities.
